Good Heart Drink

This heart-healthy drink boasts such nutrients as beta-carotene, biotin, folic acid, vitamin C, vitamin E, calcium, potassium, essential fatty acids, magnesium, manganese, and more. Each ingredient in this bright juice has properties that can help support healthy blood pressure and blood vessels- plus, it tastes great! Drink up for your health!

Ingredients

  • 4 stalks celery

  • 1 apple

  • 1 handful blackcurrants* see below

  • 1/2 inch( 1cm) ginger root

  • 2 teaspoons flaxseed oil

Directions

  • Place all ingredients into a high-powered blender and blend. Serve * (see below)

Notes

  • If using powdered blackcurrants follow the instructions on the package for substituting powdered for fresh berries in recipes.
  • You may use powdered black currants to this drink instead of fresh or frozen. Frozen black currants or adding ice will turn the juice into a smoothie. Adding ice to drink after will make a juice.
  • Black currants are bitter so add to your preferred taste especially if adding to other smoothies.
