This simple and quick drink contains vitamin C and may help reduce blood sugar levels. According to studies aid in weight loss, and improve your digestion and skin.

Ingredients

  • 1-2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar ( recommend raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar with the mother)

  • 1 cup water (use either room temperature water or warm water if making tea)

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice ( about 1/2 of a lemon)

  • 1/2 teaspoon honey (use maple syrup for vegan or your preferred sweetener)

Directions

  • In a glass or jar with a lid or use a drinking glass with a spoon for stirring, combine the apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, honey, and water.
  • Whisk or cover and shake vigorously to combine.
  • Serve immediately (see notes about making it ahead of time).

Notes

  • This drink is the most potent and beneficial just after it is made, but you can mix it together ahead of time. Simply store it in a covered container and shake it before serving. It will last in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • You may increase the honey to 1-2 teaspoons, if your prefer a sweeter drink.
  • The mother in apple cider vinegar is the organism that ferments the vinegar and provides probiotics. Choosing a bottle of ACV with this inside provides the best benefits for your health.
  • Don't drink straight vinegar as it can erode the tooth enamel. Mixing it up with some other healthy ingredients will give you a an even healthier drink. You can also drink this recipe with a straw if you are concerned about the acidity eroding your tooth enamel.
  • Drink morning or evening.
  • Can be made into a tea by using warm water.
